The Blood of Jesus

Salvation-An act of being born again; being saved from eternal damnation.

John 3:3
Jesus answered and said unto him, Verily, verily, I say unto thee, Except a man be born again, he cannot see the kingdom of God.

John 3:17
For God sent not his Son into the world to condemn the world; but that the world through him might be saved.

Acts 4:12
Neither is there salvation in any other: for there is none other name under heaven given among men, whereby we must be saved.

Atonement-That which blots out or covers over the sins of mankind.

Leviticus 17:11
For the life of the flesh is in the blood: and I have given it to you upon the altar to make an atonement for your souls: for it is the blood that maketh an atonement for the soul.

Romans 5:11
And not only so, but we also joy in God through our Lord Jesus Christ, by whom we have now received the atonement.

Redemption-The contract on our Life is paid in full, brought back from the power of sin and death.

Psalm 107:2
Let the redeemed of the Lord say so, whom he hath redeemed from the hand of the enemy;

Ephes. 1:7
In whom we have redemption through his blood, the forgiveness of sins, according to the riches of his grace;

Rev. 5:9
And they sung a new song, saying, Thou art worthy to take the book, and to open the seals thereof: for thou wast slain, and hast redeemed us to God by thy blood out of every kindred, and tongue, and people, and nation;

Justification-We have been acquitted of and sin.

Much more then, being now justified by his blood, we shall be saved from wrath through him.

Acts 13:38
Be it known unto you therefore, men and brethren, that through this man is preached unto you the forgiveness of sins:

Acts 13:39
And by him all that believe are justified from all things, from which ye could not be justified by the law of Moses.

Righteousness-We are put back into right-standing with God.

Romans 3:22
Even the righteousness of God which is by faith of Jesus Christ unto all and upon all them that believe: for there is no difference:

Romans 3:23
For all have sinned, and come short of the glory of God;

Romans 3:25
Whom God hath set forth to be a propitiation through faith in his blood, to declare his righteousness for the remission of sins that are past, through the forbearance of God;

Sanctification-We are set apart unto God, at salvation as well as each day after, through the blood of Jesus.

1 Cor. 1:30
But of him are ye in Christ Jesus, who of God is made unto us wisdom, and righteousness, and sanctification, and redemption:

Hebrews 10:10
By the which will we are sanctified through the offering of the body of Jesus Christ once for all.

Hebrews 10:14
For by one offering he hath perfected for ever them that are sanctified.

Remission-The debt and guilt of sin has been cancelled.

Romans 3:24
Being justified freely by his grace through the redemption that is in Christ Jesus:

Romans 3:25
Whom God hath set forth to be a propitiation through faith in his blood, to declare his righteousness for the remission of sins that are past, through the forbearance of God;

Reconciled-When we change our attitude and accept God's provision, we change from hostility towards God to     fellowship and love for Him.

Col. 1:20
And, having made peace through the blood of his cross, by him to reconcile all things unto himself; by him, I say, whether they be things in earth, or things in heaven.

Romans 5:10
For if, when we were enemies, we were reconciled to God by the death of his Son, much more, being reconciled, we shall be saved by his life.

Overcoming Power-That which we received when we appropriate what has been delegated unto us.

Luke 10:19
Behold, I give unto you power to tread on serpents and scorpions, and over all the power of the enemy: and nothing shall by any means hurt you.

Rev. 12:11
And they overcame him by the blood of the Lamb, and by the word of their testimony; and they loved not their lives unto the death.

Delivered-We are released from powers of darkness, set at liberty from captivity.

2 Cor. 1:10
Who delivered us from so great a death, and doth deliver: in whom we trust that he will yet deliver us;

Col. 1:13
Who hath delivered us from the power of darkness, and hath translated us into the kingdom of his dear Son:

Forgiveness-The act of forgiving, having pardoned and fogotten.

Col. 1:14
In whom we have redemption through his blood, even the forgiveness of sins:

1 John 1:9
If we confess our sins, he is faithful and just to forgive us our sins, and to cleanse us from all unrighteousness.
